Thanksgiving at Plates

For the first time, gather around the table at Plates for a Thanksgiving family-style feast.

Thanksgiving is the one day a year the whole country eats the way we always do — everything on the table, everyone reaching. Our feast is three courses, served to the table. Nobody chooses one entrée and watches someone else's arrive: you get the herb-roasted turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy and the seared drum meunière with mirliton and eggplant dressing, candied yams, collard greens and fresh-baked dinner rolls. It starts with local lettuce salad, shrimp and crab croquettes with white remoulade, and our mushroom toast. It ends with Chef Erica's holiday desserts.

$80 per adult, plus tax and gratuity. $35 for guests 12 and under. Seatings run 1pm to 5pm and we serve until 7pm. The Thanksgiving Family Style Feast is the only menu available that day.

Platesgiving — November 16–29

Not everyone gathers on the fourth Thursday. Platesgiving is our four-course family-style tasting for the rest of the season — Friendsgiving dinners, teams, out-of-town family, anyone who'd rather not fight for a Thursday table.

Apple and pomegranate salad; ham steak with roasted butternut squash and sweet potato grits; and the Plates dishes people come back for — patatas bravas, garlic shrimp, mushroom toast.

$55 per person, reduced from our usual $65 tasting. Seatings 5–9pm, November 16–25 and November 27–29. (Not available on Thanksgiving Day.)
